Create a free professional round profile picture for LinkedIn and digital business card

It is becoming increasingly common to see round profile pictures on LinkedIn and XING with a colored background, usually in the matching colors of the company. But how does it work? Find out how you can easily create this yourself for your digital business card and social media profiles in this blog article.

First, find a suitable photo of yourself. Once you have found a suitable photo, go to https://www.remove.bg/de/upload and upload your photo there. Your photo will automatically be cropped and the background removed. The 500px download is actually sufficient. If you want to download the full resolution, you can simply create an account. You can also use a trash email address such as https://xitroo.de for this. You can find out what a trash email address is in an upcoming blog post.

Now you need a Canva account. You can create one here: https://www.canva.com

Then click on "Custom size" in Canva, enter 500x500 px and click on "Create new design"

Then click on the white area and then on the color selection at the top left. Enter your color code here or select a color that suits you.

Now switch to "Elements" on the left and select the round frame. Now align the frame over the entire surface of the prepared area.

Then switch to "Uploads" and upload the photo you have previously prepared at remove.bg. You can then drag it onto the frame.

Finally, click on Download in the top right-hand corner.

You've done it! Now you can use your new profile picture on your digital business card, LinkedIn, XING and co.
